Meteor Garden is back!
Meteor Garden reboot is a Chinese drama based on our favorite Shojo manga written by Yoko Kamio. In the new Meteor garden, our heroine, DaoMing Si is played by Dylan Wang while Dong Shancai is played by Shen Yue. Other that those two, the main cast of this series also include Darren Chen as Hua Ze Lei, Liang Jing Kang as Feng Mei Zuo, and Wu Xi Ze as Xi Men Yan. These bright yet young actress and actors make the series even more interesting to watch and definitely one you don't want to miss.
People were filled with excitement to see the series. Since it's been aired on 19th of July 2018, you can't help but notice some people starting to compare the series with the previous live action adaptation of the manga. But the question remain, is it fair to compare them?
After watching the first 14 episodes I have noticed that the story line were influenced by the previous Taiwanese series with the same title from 2001. It does have some similarities to the Korean (Boys Over Flower, 2009) and the Japanese ( Hana Yori Dango, 2005) serieses but still have a color of it's own.
Daoming Si as our main heroine in this new Meteor Garden reboot 2018 is a lot tamer compare to Doumyouji Tsukasa or Gu Jun-Pyo. By tamer I mean, the bully he did to those who received the red note from F4 is a lot less violence compare what Doumyouji and Jun-Pyo did. I remember a scene where Makino were going to get raped by Doumyouji minions only to be stopped by Hanazawa Rui. This probably due to the increasing awareness of school bully and sexual harassment, in my opinion at least. In addition, I noticed that A-Si has some kind of anger management issues, as it's seems to me that he failed to channel his anger in the best way. I have never saw the Taiwanese DaoMing Si, but it's safe to say that the other Daoming Si has the same problem with anger management.
The lovely Shanchai is pretty much the same character as Makino Tsukusi and Geum Jandi. Although, I feel like there's more dilemma moments faced by Shanchai. Shanchai is also indecisive, I swear one second i could almost certain she's super into Hua Ze Lai, the next she's all over DaoMing Si. Having said that, I also think both Makino and Jandi have the same problem.
Our Second male lead, Hua Ze Lei, my personal favorite, is just... he's grown on me. at first I'm not really into Hua Ze Lei, i feel like he's character is not well shown in this series. I get that he's supposed to be the icy-cold-mysterious-will-there-wont-there type of guy, but seriously, give us some actions! through out the episodes Hua Ze Lai stays basically the same, while with Hanazawa Rui and Yoon JiHoo, the character develops and changes throughout the important scene of the story ( like when Shizuka Left Him). After reaching the Climax of the story, Hanazawa Rui and Yoon Jihoo was definitely into Makino and Jandi, I even remember how Rui tell Doumyouji that he's not gonna give up on Makino, Those determinations are missing in Hua Ze Lei. In most episodes i couldn't tell how Hua Ze Lei feels toward Shenchai, does he into her? does he hates her? His gestures and expression seems constant no matter what the circumstances. Although there are still some more episodes to see Hua Ze Lei grow, I actually feel that Hua Ze Lai is a lot sweeter compare to Rui and Jihoo.
Overall this is a good Hana Yori Dango drama and totally have it's own unique way of retelling our favorite F4 story. And I have to say that the pictures are aesthetically pleasing.
The story is expected to have 47 episodes, with the duration of around 45 minutes in each episodes. You guys can catch it on Netflix, or if you guys live in Indonesia you could also see it via VIU!
Be sure to watch!

Halo guys!
So today ill be doing a review on this amazing book called “
Red Queen “ by Victoria Aveyard. Buat temen-temen yang
suka buku bertemakan dystopian, maka aku recommend banget buku ini.
This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.
The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.
That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.
Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.
But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart ...
This book has a major plot twists. Sebenernya buku ini itu kayak your typical rebellion novels, where there is this one thing that people believed, and turns out that the main character is something else and then he/she discover they are not the only one and blablabla… Yes, I admit kalau buku ini itu doesn’t have the most original plot but still I totally enjoyed reading it. Back to the plot twist, menurut aku plot twistnya yang bikin buku ini jadi keren banget.
banyak sih jadi kayak gak terlalu menye – menye.
The fact that, this is one of those
book where the girl keep on blaming herself for something that, menurut aku, bukan
salah dia. Mare , the girl, juga cewek yang selalu berusan ngelindungi
sahabatnya and would do literally anything for her best friend, which is kind
of cute but kind of cliché and the same time.
Jadi kalau temen-temen lagi pingin baca buku yang modelnya mirip-mirip
Hunger games, Divergent, Legend, dll, maka aku recommend banget untuk check
this book out.

Halo semua!
Buat temen-temen yang lagi pingin cari tau tentang novel ini tapi gk mau dapet spoiler, then i guess this is the one for you.
He's the boyfriend you could never have. Dilan itu sangatlah unik. Ia selalu tenang dan membuat orang disekitarnya merasa nyaman. Dilan itu anak geng motor yang suka nongkrong, the bad boy. Tapi dia juga selalu juara satu dikelasnya. He stands for what he thinks is right, which is really sexy i personally think, hihihi.
She seems fine. Tapi, i can totally see why, pas jaman tahun segituan, wanita memang tidak sama dengan sekarang.
This is difenetly the one for you. Bukunya light banget, alurnya juga bagus banget, flow kayak air aja gitu, gak bikin pusing dan pastinya bakal bikin kamu gak bisa berheti baca.

Hi guys!!!
on this post i'll be recommending some books to you guys by doing the INTERGALACTIC BOOK TAG. Ive seen this tag going around the internet lately so i thought it'b be fun to do one too, for my first ever post.
So the books that ill be recommending are mostly an English-written book, i dont know the right word for that, so if you guys wanted me to recommend some good Indonesian books just let me know on the comment section below.
and here it is!!
enjoy,
1. Space: Name a book that is out of this world – that takes place in a world different from our own.
This one would be ABANDON by Meg Cabot. The book takes place in our world and the under world. It's about a girl named Pierce who died and came back to life. When she died and went to the underworld, she met the keeper named John, who until now, two years later, wont leave Pierce alone. This is a Young Adult paranormal trilogy with a dark romance story, retelling the Persephone-Hades myth.
2. Black Hole: Name a book that completely sucked you in.
Id say The Fault in Our Stars by John green.
3. Lightspeed: Name a book you are anticipating so much that you wish you could travel at lightspeed to get to it.
There's alot actually. You know how when you are anticipating for a book on a series or just a book on its own, but then you forgot the released date and you ended up forgetting the story. yeah that's kind of the problem. So no, i cant have an answer, simply because 1) i might already forget the book im anticipating, or 2) By the time the book is out, i might already on something else and doesnt feel like reading the book anymore. sorry.
4. Nebula: Name a book with a beautiful cover.
Got to be the Ghostgirl by Tonya Hurley, the hard cover one. It's really beautiful and elegant and would makes a 14 years old want to read.
5. Multiverse: Name a companion set or spinoff series you love.
I totally love the shadowhunters series by Cassandra Clare, so i choose the Mortal Instruments series and its prequel The infernal Devices. She actually just released the newest series on the shadow hunter world called The Dark Artifices series and its first book called "Lady Midnight". The book isnt yet out here in Indonesia and i cant wait to get my hands on the book.
6. Gravity: Name your favorite romantic pairing that seems to have gravitational pull to each other.
JACE AND CLARY from the Mortal Instrument. Well you know how they thought that they are siblings and tried to move on but keep getting pulled toward each other in a way or another.
7. The Big Bang: Name the book that got you started on
reading.
Hands down Twilight Saga. I finished every book in a month when i was 14.
8. Asteroid: Name a short story or novella that you love.
I never read a novella other than " the short second life of Tree Tanner" by Stephenie Meyer, so i dont have much of choices
9. Galaxy: Name a book with multiple POVs.
I dont quite enjoy books with multiple POVs honestly. The only book i dont really mind is Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.
10. Spaceship: Name a book title that would be a great name for a spaceship.
Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
